Unfocused Mini 7.19.10

Since there wasn’t a Unfocused show last week and there probably won’t be one this week, I’m gonna try something new.
This will be the first Unfocused Mini Post where I will write about Unfocused News that catches my eyes or ears.

  1. Google and Gaming – Looks like google is rewriting another page of apple’s book and is investing money into a gaming company. Google has invested about 100 Million bucks (insert A milli clip here) into Zyaga, the makers of *cough* Farmville *choke~* which I think is a good idea. I can see google becoming something better than Yahoo with their Yahoo Games. I’m not sure if this means Google will own Zynga. Couldn’t hurt tho. I think this will also help their cell phone platform Android as well.
  2. Final 3DS design – The final design of the new Nintendo handheld, the 3DS, isn’t as different as we seen at E3. I have NO idea what they have changed, but they are changing something. I think I’ll wait for the second revision, if I can. This one look too much like the DSi. It does look very shiny tho’. And hopefully we do see these crazy 2 color faded colors at launch and not a plain silver or black one.  -Link- -Link-
  3. Star Craft 2 Specs – Blizzard has released spec requirments for game play of their long awaited game, Star Craft 2. they are as followed and could change at any time (or something like that):
    Minimum System Requirements*:
PC: Windows XP/Windows Vista/Windows 7 (Latest Service Packs) with DirectX 9.0c
2.6 GHz Pentium IV or equivalent AMD Athlon processor
128 MB PCIe NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT or ATI Radeon 9800 PRO video card or better

Mac: Mac OS X 10.5.8, 10.6.2 or newer
    Intel Processor
NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT or ATI Radeon X1600 or better

PC/Mac: 12 GB available HD space
1 GB RAM (1.5 GB required for Windows Vista/Windows 7 users, 2 GB for Mac users)
    DVD-ROM drive
    Broadband Internet connection
    1024X720 minimum display resolution

*Note: Due to potential programming changes, the Minimum System Requirements for this game may change over time.

    Recommended Specifications:
    PC: Windows Vista/Windows 7
    Dual Core 2.4Ghz Processor
    2 GB RAM
512 MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX or ATI Radeon HD 3870 or better

Mac: Intel Core 2 Duo processor
    4 GB system RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT or ATI Radeon HD 4670 or better

… My old PC actually meets recommended specs! Sweet…

  4. EVO 2010! I went with CoHost DJ and Ann Ngo. Final results are posted on their site evo2k.com
I entered Tekken 6 and was beat 0-2. My first match wasn’t bad, if I had played regularly I think I would of at least that first match. My second match, I don’t think I had a chance. I used Alisa, Julia and Xiaoyu. And I bought a new Arcade stick for the 360. Hori was their selling sticks at a small discount. Madcatz were there too and I tried to avoid them (lol). And MvC3 looked sick. But I’m sure a lot of you watched the tourney on the inter-webs. If you missed anything check out this -link-

And thats all for now. I might post more minis later in the week. Be sure to check out our Podcast if you don’t already know about it. UNFOCUSED! Check out Podcast link above. Find us in iTunes and check us out if we are ever live on the right side of this page or on jusin.tv.

2010 Summer Anime Season!

My friend iMoogle has been streaming some first episodes for some new Animes that are going to be shown this summer. I believe most of these are based on the manga, but not entirely sure. For a full list visit this link but for now, I will only list those that I have seen on iMoogle’s anime channel (link will be at bottom).

First up!
High School of the Dead
Definitely based off of the manga

Really good OP with some ecchi. Because what good would a zombie anime be, without oppai and pantsu.
I really enjoy the gore, and the animation, very well put together and I look forward to watching more.

Amagami SS
Apparently based off of its manga, but I can’t find it.

A nice moe type anime about a guy who has his heart broken at christmas, he’s never gunna love again and all that jazz. One of the main reasons I like this is because of the hair styles. I really haven’t seen any other anime with hairstyles like this which means it has a somewhat unique animation. Overall it’s your basic story about a guy saying he won’t love anyone, even though he tries. Of course you gotta throw in the little sister, so you can hear onii-chan every 5 seconds, but overall pretty funny.

Shukufuku no Campanella
Based off of its manga.

Nice little anime, kind of too moe for me though. Has some funny parts, interesting type of world with clans, which are either a guild type thing or a family type thing, I don’t know. It seems funny, but not funny enough to catch my attention.

Seitokai Yakuindomo
Based off of its manga

A funny anime with the generic student council. A guy moves to a school which recently switched from all girl, to coed. A good bit is random comedy, and I would expect to see a lot of nosebleeds only due to the amount of uncomfortable conversations between the boy and his female student council members. Not sure about this one, though I enjoyed the first episode.

Finally, only barely second to Highschool of the Dead,
Mitsudomoe
Based off its manga

A purely hilarious anime about a young man entering his new job at a primary school. The main characters will be the young man and three of his students who are all sisters. This show is amazingly funny(to me at least), animated with a very interesting chibi style. Other than the fact that about .000001% of this show will make you wary of Chris Hansen, this is a great anime filled with lots and lots of humor.

Out of these five I strongly suggest you check out at least Highschool of the Dead and Mitsudomoe if you’re into watching anime. All of these animes will be broadcasting in japan this summer so you will have to wait for new episodes every week to be subbed.

I’d like to thank iMoogle for casting these, and be sure to try to catch these shows and more at iMoogle’s anime channel!

JellyBirds I’ma F U up for trying to post some BS post!
anyways…

What up crew! DJ and I were just waiting around for the Star Craft 2 beta to go back up, but no luck. I was reading around and turns out Blizzard said something in their forums about it being announced a few days before the beta goes live again. So I guess we all have to wait for an official announcement.

In other news, Collision28 has an official you tube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/C28Projects collision28 was taken. So subscribe and expect some  HD remakes of older vids. I already have my Sonic video comic #39 part one and two up in a nice Higher Quality. I’m currently working on a remake of MechaMadness pt 1 and then will start working on part 2! Then I think I’ll put up OC Remixed versions like some suggested.  I’m hoping I can put up HD versions of our older AMVs. I also want Ann to share some music on their. Maybe the rest of us will too. Hopefully some of us will get creative and put some vids up. I would like that.

Marvel Meets Shonen

So a while back, there was reports that Stan Lee of Marvel Comics would be working with a Japanese manga writer in order to make his own. Stan Lee has chosen Hiroyuki Takei (Shaman King writer) to work with him, and Shonen Jump released a promo first chapter to show off what they got. Look up “Karakuridojo Ultimo” and see how it is!
