So it’s been awhile since I have a post and now that I have caught up on new and old anime. First, for any Evangelion fan that has a PS3 or a Blu-ray player, March 9,2010 is the release of Evangelion 1.11 is out. Now for those that have Evangelion 1.01 this is not the second movie but a Blu-ray release of the same movie and with 1080p rez and special features and trailers for the second movie 2.0 you can(not) advance. Funimation has done a very good job of subbing and and dubbing so look forward to the release cuz i already put down money to buy both on Amazon.com.
Viz Media has been doing the world of anime a good service and trying to stream almost all the anime they licenses. This is a good idea since most anime fans watch this art form online and sales at the retail level are seeing a decrease in profit on the dvd’s. Manga news is the same most weeks, like top 100 best seller based on the New York Times. But you could guess whats at the top anyway. The likes of Naruto and One Piece and as such. So that is the reason why I don’t report on this as much. For those looking for a good anime to watch now that the winter break has started. I recommend is Please Teacher. This is one of those funny, feel good anime’s that you might like to watch with someone special. And the best part is that its $25 bucks at most places and have about 14 episodes so its short and sweet. Another one is Full Metal Panic! Fumofu? This is an anime that is in the middle of season 1 and 2 and they do a good job of re-introducing the characters. The other seasons are somewhat serious but have there moments, but this series has pure comedy and they do a very good job at delivering it. If you go to Fry’s Electronics, you can find this anime at a very low price or you can buy a combo pack of season 1 and fumofu? for about $45 to 60 bucks.
