As you may have heard on one of the last episodes of Unfocused, I’ve been thinking of doing something new here on Collision28. I’ll get to the point so I won’t bore you and then explain my reason behind the change and experiment.
Starting today, anyone who subscribes or is subscribed to Collision28.com will be able to write and edit their own Blog Post and submit it for review to be posted on the main page.
Just as this blog post is.
Let’s break it down…
Who can post? YOU can post if you have signed up to the site. You can register up top if you haven’t already.
What can be posted? Just about anything! But it should be related to video games, anime/manga, comics or music. Anything else will probably get rejected from review. But if you have a review, news, opinion or anything go ahead and tell everyone.
Where will they be posted? Ever gone to www.collision28.com and seen a blog post? Yea, you’re post (if accepted by editors) could be one of those post!
Why? To build a community where we all have a voice that isn’t tied down by a corporation or money.
Collision28, T and I (ajTwist) came up with the name almost two years ago. It just sounded cool. It’s meaning, in my eyes, represented the collaboration of stuff we all like – Music, Video Games, Anime, Comics, etc. (the 28 just represents me :p ). Collision28 pretty much started off making AMVs (Anime Music Videos), taking music and animating it with anime. Is that not a collision? Then we evolved; started a podcast where we talked about it all. One big 4 car pile up. That was my way of branching out to others. Some of you stayed interested in what we did and what we had to say. But what I always liked is hearing what you guys have to say. I learn from you guys after all and retell your stories and opinions to others all the time. I like learning from others like me. But overall, I just like having a place where people can chill and learn from each other and teach one another as well.
Plus, I just found out that you can have people write a post and submit it for review. And when ever I discover something new I just have to test it out for myself.
So go and write some interesting. Tell us about a glitch you found in a game. Tell us how ridiculous certain levels are in whatever game. Tell us how we should all be watching that new anime. Tell us the manga IS really better than the anime. Tell us that they should leave comic book characters dead. Tell us that new band isn’t really the shit. Tell us they are. Tell us about the latest iPhone game and how we should stay away, or check it out. Tell us about that rumor and how it makes sense or doesn’t. DO IT!

Universal City Walk, Ca.
Nintendo finally released the third revision of their DS handheld system, the DSi. What better way to release the product than with a midnight launch. Gamestop with help from Nintendo had a big launch party at Universal City Walk in So Cal. The one and only ajTwist (me) got a chance to check out the fun festivities. I got there kind of late but I felt like I didn’t miss a thing. Many websites announced the launch party but it really didn’t interest me until I heard about all the awesome SWAG Nintendo was giving away from the lovely Jessica V. (from All Games Interactive) via Twitter. AND JES was there doing some Nintendo Ambassadoring so I had to go to say hello! As the day went on I got kind of lazy and almost didn’t go until I saw another Twitter post from PennyMan aka Coin-Op Rob of Coin-Op.Tv saying Gym Class Heroes were performing. I was like WHOA, I gotta check this out for sure now. So I took off and got there around 9:45 PM, close to 2 hours before the Official Release of the DSi.
The area looked crazy. A big sphere in the middle with projections of random animation, mostly Nintendo themed pictures. DJ’s scratching and mix old school Super Mario Bros Music. Light Up Pillars with a DSi Demo on all 4 sides. And Nintendo Ambassadors wearing sky blue Nintendo shirts showing people how to use the built in features of the DSi and giving away SWAG. What kind of Swag you ask?

Hey… first Home Page post of 2009!!
Nothing much going on here on Collision 28 other than UNFOCUSED.
A lot of AMVs have been stripped of their music or taken off of YouTube over the past few months so I’m almost scared of making a new one. I might do it anyways. We might even transfer our AMVs to animemusicvideos.org or something like that.
Other than that Unfocused has been doing alright. We just did episode 31 of Unfocused and going on 32. And 32 should be a good episode. We have plans on have Vrictor aka AzN Noob on the next show. We’ll also be having another S’more Hot Dog in studio.
Collision 28 also has a “Network” on Justin.tv so join that ish if you got some topics to discuss with us or idea for the show. Link up top!
And hopefully we can get some new channels up on our Network… I don’t know what we’re looking for yet but one thing I know for sure is that we want some to be part of Collision 28 if they’re gonna be on our network… or something like that. I don’t know. Hit me up if you’re interested in joining the Team or the Network.
And One more thing about Unfocused. We’re having a tournament check out the info on the Collison28 JTV Network aka Forums.
