New Pokemon = New System

Just for the record! I want to point this out in writing. Well it’s a little too late for that BUT there is recorded audio of it! In Unfocused Podcast Episode 73 we talked about the announcement of a new Pokemon generation. I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s notice this but every new Pokemon series has never repeated systems. Red, Blue and Yellow versions were only on the original Game Boy. Gold, Silver and Crystal were on Game Boy COLOR. Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald were on Game Boy Advance. Diamond, Pearl and Platinum are on the DS. A fifth generation Pokemon game was announced on Feb 10 2010. Or Feb 9th… Somewhere around that date. That lead me to believe there would be a new Nintendo handheld system to be announced very soon. I don’t think the DSi is a big of enough difference for a new generation Pokemon series. Then there was rumors about a DS2 or new handheld that we talked about on Unfocused Podcast Episode 74. One of several companies given a demo of the system to develop for is The Pokemon Company. WHOA! So new Pokemon Game DOES equal new Nintendo Handheld! HA! Just wanted to say that. Thank You. Listen to Unfocused

ARCEUS … how do you even say that by the way… Ar-Ce-Us? Thats actually easy I guess… so anyways

ArCeUs will finally be available to catch in Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum! All 3! So make sure you hit up a Toys R Us sometime between November 7th and November 15th. that’s 1 week.
If you have Platinum it will unlock a special event, just like it’s been for the last few events. I’m guessing Diamond and Pearl will have the boring “Pick it up at the pokemart” thing… well that’s the lazy way too.

So be sure to check that out!

serebii.net also reports trading Arceus into future Heart Gold and Sould Silver games will unlock special locations were you can obtain a Level 1 Dialga, Palkia or Garatina. Crazy ish.

1. You must have obtain the Pokedex from Professor Rowan in game.
2. You must have no more than two wonder cards. If so, then delete one.
3. You must make sure you have enabled the Mystery Gift option.
   1. Go to the Jubilife TV Center.
   1. Talk to the man who accepts messages on the second floor.
   1. Input Everyone Happy and WiFi Connection when prompted.
   1. Save your game.
4. At the start up screen, there Mystery Gift is now activated.
5. Under Mystery Gift, select “Receive Gift” and from “Via Wireless”.
6. Select “Yes” when prompted, and a wonder card will be downloaded.
7. Start a game, and make sure you have an empty slot in your team.
8. Go to any Pokemart, and talk to the deliveryman in front of the counter.
9. You will receive your new Member Card.
10. Make sure to save your game.

With the Member Card, go to the locked inn in Canalave City. Enter and sleep in the bed. Your character will fall asleep and wake up on New Moon Island. Explore the island to find a lvl 50 Darkrai ready to battle you. Make sure to save beforehand as this is your only chance.

Finally! A remake of Gold and Silver to make it easier to transfer Lugia, Ho-oh, the legendary dogs, ect. into Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. Apparently from what I’ve been hearing, last weeks episode of Pokemon in Japan had a teaser saying they had something big to announce and had Gold and Silver Pokeballs hanging from the ceiling.  Hint, Hint!! Then it was finally announced that a remake, most likely for the DS, of the popular Game Boy Color game will be coming soon, titled Pokemon Heart Gold and Pokemon Soul Silver. The titles keeping the same feel like Leaf Green and Fire Red.
I Guess it’s the 10 year anniversry of the games which means REMAKE. I wonder if that was the reason for the Red, Green/Blue remake?
Of course, expect new  features, updated graphics, updated sound and what not. Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be released  in Japan in the Fall. So I guess we should be seeing it here in the States a year from now. =( 
What if it comes out for the DSi? What type of features would it have? I guess we’ll find out more as we get closer the the Japanese release.

I had no idea that they made it that far. But they did. But I’m actaully not going to talk about the movie it’s self, I’m here to mention the giveaway that’ll be happening when the movie comes to thearters in Japan. Arceus, the 493rd Pokemon will be available to download. But Before the movie’s release, a specail colored Pichu will be available elsewhere along with an attack any normal pichu can’t learn.

Universal City Walk, Ca.

Nintendo finally released the third revision of their DS handheld system, the DSi. What better way to release the product than with a midnight launch. Gamestop with help from Nintendo had a big launch party at Universal City Walk in So Cal. The one and only ajTwist (me) got a chance to check out the fun festivities.  I got there kind of late but I felt like I didn’t miss a thing. Many websites announced the launch party but it really didn’t interest me until I heard about all the awesome SWAG Nintendo was giving away from the lovely Jessica V. (from All Games Interactive) via Twitter. AND JES was there doing some Nintendo Ambassadoring so I had to go to say hello! As the day went on I got kind of lazy and almost didn’t go until I saw another Twitter post from PennyMan aka Coin-Op Rob of  Coin-Op.Tv saying Gym Class Heroes were performing. I was like WHOA, I gotta check this out for sure now.  So I took off and got there around 9:45 PM, close to 2 hours before the Official Release of the DSi.

The area looked crazy. A big sphere in the middle with projections of random animation, mostly Nintendo themed pictures. DJ’s scratching and mix old school Super Mario Bros Music. Light Up Pillars with a DSi Demo on all 4 sides. And Nintendo Ambassadors wearing sky blue Nintendo shirts showing people how to use the built in features of the DSi and giving away SWAG.  What kind of Swag you ask? DSi related kind of course! Nintendo Points for downloadable games, 2 GB SD cards, Nintendo Gummie Candy, Stylus’, Pins with DSi icons, key chain game cases, DS Headsets and probably other stuff I missed out on! And they were giving away a lot of Headsets to my surprised, all night. I got to say hello to Jessica and she showed0 me how to use the DSi, but I’ll get to that later. My highlight of the night was seeing Gym Class Heroes perform. It was great! Seeing them do “The Queen and I” “Cupid’s Chokehold” and “Cookie Jar”. OH, and Two Stepping to “Guilty as Charged”. I guess their appearance was kept on the low because there wasn’t many Gym Class Fans around until the last song. But they didn’t leave after that. They stuck around for a while and took pictures with Mario who also made an appearance. LAGTV was there as well doing interviews and some guy from G4 was the main host I guess. I’m sorry I don’t watch TV or G4.

So after running around meeting people and collecting swag it was close to midnight and people were waiting in line to be some of the first to get their hands on a Nintendo DSi on the West Coast. I was almost ready to take off where I heard that they might give away more stuff after midnight, so I waited. A couple of people were lucky enough to get a Mario DS Holder. It’s about a 12 Inch Mario Figure with his hand out to hold your DS when it’s not in use. Looks pretty cool, I wasn’t lucky enough to get one. They also passed out more stylus and Gummies before midnight.  Finally the countdown came and people got to walk in to buy their DSi. The first in line took 15 minutes to come out, I suppose he was interviewed by all the media that was there. But when he walked out, he walked out with 10,000 Nintendo points, a DS headset, The Mario DS Holder and probably a lot more, seeing how Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales and Marketing (that’s a long title), presented him with the first DSi out of that store. Unfortunately there wasn’t anything else given away, as far as I know. I was hoping for a free DSi but no luck there. But overall, I had a great time being there and checking it out, a lot of well known people were there covering the event, hopefully I’ll be a well known name one day too! lol

Speaking of which, I was walking away from a trio of Nintendo Ambassadors after  grabbing some swag when one of them yelled “ajTwist?!” I said to myself “WTF? Who knows me by that name?” It was none other than Tedakin, fellow listener of All Games and the artist behind the Xbox Community Game “Revenge of the Ball”. Not sure what else he does, but that was kind of weird. He wasn’t sure how he knew me either. And one of the host of TechKnow over on Ufragtv.com claims he has heard of Unfocused too. I sure hope so!

I did get to mess around with the DSi for a while, thank you Jessica once again. I got to full around with the camera and editing system. It’s pretty fun, it reminds me of the Game Boy Camera and the Photo Channel on the Wii. You can draw over pictures you take, wrap them several different ways, and add frames and stamps! It’s pretty simple to use without even knowing how to use it. I saved the same pic like 10 times without even knowing. I guess that’s a flaw of the system, it doesn’t let you know that your edit was saved. Pictures do look nice on the DSi. The DSi looks slick when it’s closed, the UI looks nice but I can see it becoming annyoing after downloading games and apps. Thats about all I can say about it right now. I don’t plan or have any interest in buying a DSi at the moment. Maybe after I see some cool games made for the DSi or after hearing about some cool downloadable DSi stuff.

Lopunny- This is a bunny type Pokemon. Were should i begin. One this so called bunny has a woman’s body, truly i know no one likes this pokemon its to ugly and two who ever created this thing has to be into bestiality or something. Mixing a woman’s body with a rabbit that is not creative its just crazy.

Probopass- This is the very first Italian looking pokemon big nose, mustache, a nice little hat. I dont hate or find this pokemon ugly I just think it’s cool that it looks italian.”mama mia”.

 Ambipom- This Pokemon is a purple monkey that has two cow breast as tails. 1, it’s not creative putting cow tits on a monkey especially when it doesn’t produce milk… well maybe it does but i bet its banana milk shake. Can you imagine this Pokemon titty slapping Pokemon around for a win. I’m going to put this as  stupid creativity. 

Staraptor- This is a Pokemon that emo trainers will LOVE!!!…It’s a pigeon with emo hair. I bet you this Pokemon’s Ability is defence increases when it receives damage. I’m sorry it’s a depressing Pokemon to see I’m going to cut my self now:( I’m putting this Pokemon as the creator was depress when he created this bad creation.

Floatzel- This is a Pokemon that is maid for the water but I don’t know what the purpose is have a floatation devices on his neck going all around his back, like whats the point of that? It can swim but it needs floaters… who wants a Pokemon who needs floaters during battle. That shows how weak this Pokemon is. I’m give this Pokemon a bucket of cement on its feet so he can drown like a clown.
